9. In addition to the provisions of section 54 of the Professional Code (chapter C-26), midwives must refrain from practising their profession in a state or in a condition that may compromise the quality of their professional services or the dignity of the profession in particular while under the influence of alcoholic beverages, drugs, hallucinogens, narcotics, anaesthetics or any other substance causing intoxication, reduced or disturbed faculties or unconsciousness.
